¡¡¡¡During
the day, the delegates visited Taiwan's largest
and most powerful investment group¡ªAsia Pacific
Venture Capital Group, and were warmly welcomed
by the leaders of the company. The company¡¯s leader
gave the delegates a detailed presentation of
the history and latest developments in the company
since its founding in 1990.

¡¡¡¡In the afternoon of December 22nd, the delegates
attended a seminar held at Taiwan University.
Mr. Jiongcong Jiang, a well-known professor from
Taiwan University, and Mr. Yaozhong Lu, CEO of
Nanjing Fortune Telecom Venture Capital Co., Ltd.
gave well-received lectures. The course focused
on the development of Taiwan¡¯s venture capital
industry over the last 20 years, the present situation,
and possible future developments in the industry.

¡¡¡¡
¡¡¡¡The delegates visited China Development Industrial
Bank. As the first civil-invested industrial bank
under a financial development organization, the
China Development Industrial Bank has been a pioneer
in this area since its founding in 1959. It has
functioned to promote the development of the national
economy and industry.

Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology |
¡¡¡¡At Kaohsiung First University of Science and
Technology, the delegates gave presentations at
a seminar hosted by Prof. Zhenyuan Yang, Chief
of Business Management Institute of the University,
Mr. Qingfa Yang, and Mr. Liren Hu. The seminar
was on ¡°establishing a multi-layer capital exit
system for venture investment¡± and ¡°venture capital
investment systems in Mainland China, Hong Kong,
and Taiwan. The lecturers spoke at great length
about the practice of venture investment and the
capital retreating system in Taiwan. Thus, the
delegates learned a great deal not only about
the investment environment, but about the latest
practices in the venture capital industry in Taiwan.

Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity
Association |
¡¡¡¡On the afternoon of that day,
the delegates visited Hong Kong Venture Capital
and Private Equity Association and were warmly
welcomed by the senior executives of the association.
The delegates were given an introduction of the
history of the association since its founding
in 1987, as well as of its primary practices.

¡¡¡¡At Hong Kong Polytechnic
University, the delegates listened to lectures
given by Mr. Yaojian Lin, a partner with PriceWaterHouseCoopers
CPA, and Mr. Jianming Yu, the managing director
of Jinyi Financing Group.
¡¡¡¡Mr. Lin¡¯s lecture was entitled ¡°How Chinese
enterprises can successfully list.¡± It focused
on the purpose of listing, on how to choose the
location of the listing, and comparisons between
capital markets in mainland China and Hong Kong.
Mr. also presented a bird¡¯s eye-view of Hong Kong¡¯s
stock market.

¡¡¡¡
¡¡¡¡ In the afternoon of that day, the delegates
visited Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited.
Mr. Li Xiti, the chief officer of the company,
gave a presentation to the delegates on the history
of Hong Kong Stock Exchange from before the handover
and afterwards, from which the delegates learned
a great deal.

¡¡¡¡On December 31st,
a special seminar was held by Mr. Yiren Li, the
managing director of Hong Kong office of Taishan
Investment Asia Co., Ltd., and Ms. Kathy Xu, a
well-known venture capitalist who is a partner
and president of China office of Balin Asia Investment
Foundation.

As a powerful venture capitalist, Ms. Kathy
Xu successfully invested in a number of hi-tech

31st, 2003, the delegation completed all of their
visits and coursework as scheduled, and the graduation
ceremony was held at Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
