Overview

Financial crisis sweeps: the economy growth slows down; the operation cost increases; the financial market is unsteady; the small and medium-sized enterprises are facing difficulties in both business operation and financing. While at the same time the capital chains where GP’s fund come from tend to break down; Competition within the industry is intensified; many VCs tend to become more and more PEs likewise; Chinese VC/PE industry is facing great difficulties and challenges in the coming “Economic Winter”. To enhance competence and to nurse the new growing engine in Chinese economy becomes the primary task for every investor.

In 2009, China Venture Capital and Private Equity Forum will cheer for its 11th presence. As the annual gathering in Chinese VC/PE industry which has extensive coverage, intensive theory research and strong guidance in practice, China Venture Capital and Private Equity Forum is proceeding along with the development of Chinese VC/PE industry. At this very moment, we will invite many experts, scholars and VC/PE investors together to probe all potential opportunities under the financial crisis.

The 11th China Venture Capital and Private Equity Forum will focus on the topic of “Enhancing VC/PE Core Competence and Forging the New Growing Engine for Chinese Economy”. The coming forum will analyze the macro economic environment in China at present, evaluate the subsequent consequence of the financial crisis in 2009, discuss in depth the challenges and opportunities faced by Chinese Grow Enterprise Board, VC, PE institutions and start-up enterprises. The forum will go through various subjects including “Investment Strategies in China by International and Domestic VC/PEs”, “The Way to Become Bigger and Stronger for Chinese Start-up Enterprises”, “The Attraction and Features of Domestic and Foreign Capital Market”, “The Investment Hotspots in Clean Technology, Medical and Heath Care Industries” and so on. We have invited masters within the industry at home and abroad to discuss the development trend of Chinese macro economy and measures to ease the financial crisis, seek for the new growing engine, research on Chinese innovative economy, look for the policy trend for Chinese venture capital and reveal the hotspots and tendency of Chinese VC/PE through intensive analysis and interactive communication.

The forum will gather together attendants at home and abroad, including over 400 LP, VC and PE investors, institutional investors and investment bankers, over 500 start-up entrepreneurs, over 100 experts and scholars, over 100 policy constitutors from central or local government. More than 100 speakers at home and abroad will address the forum, helping to push forward the intercommunication and cooperation among attendants from different walks of life, and helping to achieve a better and prompter development of Chinese venture capital industry and innovative economy.
