Selected from more than 1,000 potential candidates, China’s 100 most outstanding enterprises – from innovative projects and start-ups, growth and expansions, to late-stage pre-IPOs, restructurings, and buyouts – will be brought directly to investors. Following a brief presentation to investors, these entrepreneurs will be available to meet with you face-to-face. The 100 selected companies are involved in biotech and life-sciences, clean-tech and new energies, TMT, software, consumer goods, new materials, and a host of other industries.
Special seminar for international PE and VC firms: contemporary legal issues for PE and VC investment in China (7:20 am – 8:20 am, April 13, 2007, Thursday)
This seminar is specially designed for international PE or VC investors who are relatively new to China. Experienced lawyers will conduct an in-depth seminar on the legal issues that you may encounter when you conduct PE/VC business in China. They will also provide you with a number of tips on how to overcome any legal difficulties that you may face in China. Consultation is free of charge during the seminar, so you are welcome to bring your real problems.
Tech-transfer roundtable and continental breakfast (7:30 am – 8:30 am, April 14, 2007, Thursday)
You will meet a dozen top scientists and tech-transfer executives from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, and China Academy of Sciences, and from government labs and top research corporations in such areas as bio-tech and life-sciences, clean-tech and new energy, and new materials.

A special meeting or lunch/dinner gathering with a state leader (Mr. Cheng Siwei, Vice Chairman of the National People’s Congress) or with the Minister of Science and Technology, the Mayor of Shenzhen, and/or the Governor of the Guangdong provincial government will be arranged. The number of seats for this activity is very limited, so you are urged to indicate your interest before October 31, 2006, as most of the seats have been reserved by the sponsors.
