Set as the national strategy at
the Fifth Plenary Session of the 16th National Congress of
the CPC, self-innovation is recognized as a fundamental way
to China’s sustainable development. In the meantime, revitalization
of Northeast China is elevated to the level of a national
development strategy. To achieve the targeted goal, it is
imperative to improve the ability of technological innovation,
to speed up the development of high-tech industry, and to
reinforce the building of regional self-innovation system
so as to provide a strong support for optimization of the
regional economic structure, fundamental adjustment of the
economic growth pattern, and coordinated and sustainable development
of the society.
The remarkable development
of innovative economy in the United States and Israel in the
past two decades proves that venture capital is an accelerator
to the development of the self- innovation of an enterprise,
a region, a country and a nation. To build a self-innovation
system with Chinese characteristics and implement the self-innovation
strategy, an important step is to promote the development
of venture capital industry.
Established in 1998,
the China Venture Capital Forum has been running successfully
for eight consecutive years. Today, it has been regarded as
the No.1 brand and the most influential forum of the industry.
Focusing on issues critical to China’s venture capital and
development of technological innovation, the Forum has been
playing a pivotal role in promoting the development of China’s
venture capital, speeding up the self-innovation and industrialization
of high technology, and realizing the adjustment of industrial
structure and development of innovative economy.
Themed Implement Self-Innovation
Strategy, Create a New Phase of Revitalizing Northeast China
and Venture Capital Industry, the China Venture Forum marks
its first Summit debut in the Northeast China. Topics covered
will be concerned with: Northeast China revitalization strategy
through self-innovation, optimization of the regional economy
and industrial structure, improvement of the financial and
investment environments, establishment of the venture capital
system and mechanism, and attraction of international capital.
The Summit aims to provide a platform for senior government
officials, renowned academics, leading venture capitalists,
and senior executives from stock exchanges, investment banks,
and intermediaries to discuss how to accelerate the region’s
self-innovation, and long-term development of venture capital
industry.
The Summit will also
invite dozens of domestic and overseas investment institutions,
investment banks and businesses ready for shareholding reform,
mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, financing and listing,
bridging the gap between regional industry and international
capital. Through face-to-face dialogue, the Summit will provide
a rare business opportunity for both sides, and promote the
regional businesses innovation development with the emerging
capital market.
We believe the two-day
conference will significantly contribute to the region’s development
of venture capital, creation of the self-innovation system,
attraction of domestic and international investment, and revitalization
of the old industrial base.
